PRESS RELEASE 

Hojin Lee, born and raised in South Korea, graduated from the Pratt Institute in New York with a Bachelor of Fine Art in Painting (2000) and later from the New York University, with a Master of Arts Degree in Painting (2003). Finally, he was appointed to a professorship at the Department of Plastic Arts at the Catholic University. There, he exercised his function 10-year-long, training students about painting, object art, and drawing.

Early during his carrier and thanks to the selection by La Cite Internationale des Art, he had the opportunity to be involved in amity business and participated in programs which took place in Corea, United States, China, France and Germany, promoting greatly his international exchange. Accordingly, his work was exhibited in varies places included are: la Ville des Arts and Galerie Lumen in Paris, the MK2 Gallery in Beijing, Gallery Clu Los Angles, and the Galerie Perpetuel Frankfurt. Besides solo exhibition, he could also be part of group exhibitions in the National Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art, Contemporary Museum of Art, and Busan Biennale in Korea. One of his recent achievements include the exhibition of his work on a number of symbolic places in Corea (Seoul’s landmark Seoul Station lobby) and Island (Yeonpyeongdo) to progress on his ideas about large-scale murals in the city in association with early abstract paintings.
