Since the COVID-19 pandemic began, art museums and galleries have been finding new ways to connect with global art fans online during quarantine.
J. Paul Getty Trust have launched Art Generator, a supplement for the super popular online game Animal Crossing: New Horizons that allows gamers to add any piece of artwork in the Getty’s open access library into the game world.

“We issued the challenge and linked people to the thousands of online collection images we have for folks to download and use for free,” Sarah Waldorf, a social media lead at the J. Paul Getty Trust said.
The main purpose of the Getty’s strategic campaign is to make people feel not just connected each other, but to help them rejuvenate a sense of self in terms of artistic vibes.
Meanwhile, some online exhibitions and viewing rooms are also a thing these days. Most notably, we must check David Zwirner and Pace’s online viewing rooms.
