[Interview] The Emerging Artist Group: 308 Art Crew

MAY 27, 2020

By Ungyu Yeo

For 308 Art Crew, 'art' is a form of visual expression through curiosity, so, as always, they have been exploring the sea of 'thinking' with a boat called 'curiosity'. Whether it was a 'narrative, subject', or something in it, they always want their work to be differentiated from the other artists's work. Like a famous saying, “there is nothing new under the sky,” it can be difficult to do something new, but they think they will be able to reach 'new things' if they keep on trying it. In fact, their works are the history of a spirit of defiance refusing a monotonous identity.

‘Mo-rnado’ is started from
Leibniz, Gottfried Wilhelm von's monadism.

'Gaebong-dong 33-130' was an extraordinary exhibition in the house that will be pulled down.

'Individual' has
expressed the new world that we can survive with our own identity that we built up on our own.
