[NEWS] The Art World Shows Support For Blackout Tuesday

Members of Black Lives Matter, Philly Real Justice, and thousands more rallied on the steps of the Philadelphia Art Museum on May 30th.

The murder of George Floyd has provoked national demonstration across the United States over police brutality against inequality and racism. Millions of Facebook and Instagram users have been posting black squares with the hashtag #BlackOutTuesday, to convey a message of solidarity with the Black Lives Matter protests.

Notably, art world such as artists, museums, galleries and even auction houses is also engaging in this movement to show support posting a black square image on their social media accounts.
